European Federation of Freelance Writers? Membership is open to
freelance journalists, feature writers and authors throughout Europe. There's
a wide range of benefits including insurance and discounted Internet access.
The Federation provides professional support for all writers but
specifically: Freelance or part-time writers Freelance or
part-time journalists Authors (fiction and non-fiction) Trade and
technical writers Authors of scientific papers.
London Freelance Branch is the National Union of
Journalists' largest grouping. With around 3000 members, it represents
one-eighth of the whole Union. Its members work as freelances - not just
reporters and photographers, but sub-editors, designers, and all other kinds
of journalist. Some are between staff jobs, and many others join the Branch to
organise alongside colleagues who want to be freelance.
