Customer Complaint Procedure

If you have a problem with any of AppleBookshop's or AppleMusicshop's "SOFTWARE PRODUCT" whether an ebook or Mp3 music product, relating to their merchantable quality or non delivery over the Internet, please contact us as soon as possible. Office hours: Monday to Saturday   8 am to 7 pm British Standard Time.

We normally respond to your problem within 2 working days. If you sent your complaint by e-mail and we have not replied within 5 working days, then it could be due to us not receiving your e-mail.

If you feel that we have not resolved your problem to your satisfaction after say 30 days, then feel free to contact the Chief Executive Officer.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by the author's copyright and international agreements concerning the author's rights, and further by applicable laws and agreements concerning intellectual property rights in the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. This means that you must treat the SOFTWARE PRODUCT as you would any other material which is subject to copyright. All copyrights and rights of the author in the SOFTWARE PRODUCT (including without limitation all graphics, photographs, animations, all screens, all sounds, text and symbols are part of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT), as well as any printed material supplied with the SOFTWARE PRODUCT and all copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT are the property of Apple Bookshop or its suppliers.
    The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is not sold but a licence to install and use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is sold.
  2. This licence agreement is a contract between you the purchaser (an individual or a legal institution) and Apple Bookshop regarding the SOFTWARE PRODUCT supplied over the Internet at www.applebookshop.co.uk and www.applemusicshop.co.uk. The product includes the following, but without limitation: computer software, digital books commonly called ebooks, digital music commonly called Mp3 music, the distribution media, any printed material which can include documentation in 'on-line' or electronic format.
  3. Delivery is by digital electronic transfer over the Internet. Payment to be by credit card or debit card over a secure network supplied by a highly respected company, namely WorldPay of Cambridge, England.
  4. Licence for the SOFTWARE PRODUCT

    This licence grants the end-user the following rights:

    You may install the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on only two computers where one computer will be a portable computer such as (but not limited to) a laptop computer. You may also create one backup copy of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT as insurance against loss due to computer hardware failure. Where the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is an ebook, you may create one complete copy of the ebook on paper or other similar media.
  5. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT cannot be leased or lent to a third party.
  6. If the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is not of merchantable quality, then provided the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is returned within 30 days of purchase a full refund will be given by crediting your credit or debit card.
  7. Delivery will be by electronic transfer over the Internet, normally at the time of sale.  If the delivery is unsuccessful due to a malfunction with Apple Bookshop's computer systems, the Internet network system or the purchaser's computer, Apple Bookshop agrees to re-deliver the SOFTWARE PRODUCT at no extra cost. Each party will be given a reasonable period of time to repair their malfunctioning computer equipment, but if no delivery is made within 28 days, then the purchaser will be given a full refund.
  8. WARNING The purchaser must not use non standard downloading managers such as (but not limited to) GetRight or Godzilla. For security reasons the downloading process will be aborted.
  9. Apple Bookshop SOFTWARE PRODUCTS ARE OTHERWISE PROVIDED TO YOU "AS-IS". NO OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, BY  Apple Bookshop AGENTS OR STAFF ARE MADE TO YOU AS TO THE SOFTWARE PRODUCTS OR ANY MEDIUM IT MAY BE ON, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THIS DOES NOT EFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER AS PRESCRIBED BY ENGLISH LAW.
  10. Apple Bookshop is not responsible for the contents of any publication, nor for the accuracy of the text of any publication. Apple Bookshop makes no representation or warranty with regard to any publication, and Apple Bookshop; has no liability with regard to any claim that any publication contains any false, slanderous, libelous, blasphemous or obscene material. Apple Bookshop has no liability for any loss or damage caused or incurred resulting from the text of any publication, including, without limitation, errors in the text of any publication caused by transcription of such publication into electronic media.
  11. Apple Bookshop makes no representation of any kind with regard to the continuity of the service or the customer's ability to use the service, though AppleBookshop will endeavour to provide continuous access to the service. The customer assumes all liability for following all instructions for access to the service. 
  12. The Contract entered into by the purchaser and Apple Bookshop for any SOFTWARE PRODUCT supplied by Apple Bookshop is to be governed by the laws of England.  The parties agree that any dispute between the parties to the contract to be settled under the jurisdiction of the English Law Courts.
